Check engine light has always been on yesterday day was driving it check engine started to flash and then was lost power intermittent before that happens if u was at a stop sign in drive it would feal like the car had a hop to it rpms stay the same ?

If the check engine light was flashing, that tells me the engine had a misfire. It can be caused by many different things. What I suggest is to have the computer scanned to determine what set the light/code. Most parts stores will do it for free and then we will know what to focus on.
