Does my muffler have a hole in it?

My 2002 Chevy Monte Carlo sounds like a chevy silverado. I have a 3.4l engine and it didn't start until saturday, I was wondering if there could be another reason for full throttled noise coming from my car. The sound seems to be coming from the engine and exhaust continues to come rom the tail pipe, so I hope it is nothing to serious.

Your going to have to look and listen for the exhaust leak.

I have looked for the leak and will again but it also has been overheating and I have increased amounts of exhaust which from what I've read could be a serious problem. I know I need a new radiator because its cracked and I had to use a stop leak to stop the overheating about 5 months ago. I'm hoping to take it to a mechanic today if he's open on the holiday.

If your overheating and the smoke coming out the tail pipe is like a steam and its gotten worse it could be a blown head gasket or cracked head. You can test that with a chemical tester which they rent at auto zone.I dont recommend stop leak because it pluggs up other things besides the leak. Like your radiator heater core etc.
