I have a 2001 Sunfire, the lowbeam recently stopped working on the drivers side i replaced both bulbs and still nothing, the highbeams work fine, ive checked all fuses and they are ok aswell, when i start the ignition the dashboard light for my headlights flashes at me multiple times and makes a clicking noise before turning off and the service engine light lights up. what could be the problem? i have also chaged the unti that hold the headlight bulb

Check the wiring harness. In the diagram, the top wires are voltage, hot all the time, Use a voltage tester on the proper color wire. The bottom wires are grounds. On/off, hi/lo beams are controled on the ground circuit. If the ground for low beam has voltage on it, low beam selected, headlamp switch on, there is something wrong with the ground. The wiring itself may have a problem?
