I was driving down the highway at about 80 when out of nowhere my car starts smoking. I pull over, pop the hood, oil everywhere. After making it back home on a good samaritins stock of oil, I was out of oil again. I put more oil in, car not running, no major leak. I start the car and it's spitting and spewing at a great rate out of what looks like some type of electrical plug almost dead center, towards the bottom, front, just under the valve cover. I have no idea what this is and I know it might be hard to picture it but any help would be awesome. Thanks.

Without seeing the part or even knowing which engine you have, if that part is near the oil filter, it is likely the oil pressure sending unit. It is common for them to leak. All auto parts stores will have them in stock. They'll show you the part or a picture of it so you can compare it to what's leaking on your engine.
