Pontiac tries to start but stops

I got a 2001 pontiac grand am 2.4 I think I need to check fuel pressure but cant seem to find a port I dont want to keep on trying to crank it cause I just had to put a starter on it it tries to crank but it goes dead I bypassed security system with a 1/4 watt resistor in between the blk and yellow wire I have done everything but drain fuel from gas tank any advice on what to do next will be appreciated thanks

You really should check the fuel pressure. The schrader valve should be on the fuel rail to check. If you need directions, on our homepage under the DIY section, look fuel pressure testing.

As far as bypassing the security, I have seen many to it and not be successfull. Make sure you are getting spark too.
