The odometer stoped turning after the trip meter was reset.

If this is still a mechanical odometer, just keep pressing the reset button and letting it snap back. A row of small gears is pushed out of the way to allow the wheels to turn when you reset them, and sometimes those gears don't drop back into position without a little encouragement.
