I'm not 100% sure on the year but it's not too far off of a 2001. However whenever we put a cassette tape in you hook up the Ipod or phone, the cassette doesn't work. It doesn't eject, we got the old one out and put a new one in but now the cassette went in all the way but won't go down. Not only that but whenever we hit the button to go from the radio to the cassette and back to the radio, every few seconds it will go from the radio back to the cassette. This is a little confusing haha but is there any way you know of that it can be fixed?

Honestly the most cost effective way to fix this by far is to replace the radio with a good aftermarket unit with Bluetooth or a usb plug. Ford radios are notorious throughout time for this very thing

Well to fix it, this is just a thought. But to fix it do you think it might just be maybe a wire on the inside or something that we could fix by maybe soldering? Or is it not that simple?

Those deck motors are just very unreliable. You can take it out and try it if you like but ive never been able to get them to go for very long and new ones don't exist anymore as far as I know

Sure. I wish I could be more positive about your radio but sometimes reality doesn't allow for that
