2001 Chevy hd 2500 acting like its not getting fuel except theres 40 psi at the rail.

Ok the story begains wed broke key in ignition at work drilled tumbler used screw driver to start it went home drove it thurs couple times I tried to start it it hesitated like no gas but then started fri afternoon leaving work truck started a little hesitation while idling fuel pump started making weird noises, went to junk yard gotta new ignition housing and all installed it changed fuel pump and filter due to the noises it was making, went to start it wont start acts like its not getting fuel I have 40 psi at the rail if we dump gas into the thrttle body it will start so why are my injectors not pulsing?

Is the security light on solid or flashing while trying to start the engine?When you replaced the ignition housing did the engine start?Did you relearn the passlock sensor after repalcing the ignition housing?

Sounds like you have low fuel psi. It should be 55-62 psi with the pump running and engine off. Check for a leaking fuel pressure regulator on the fuel rail.
