When the car is in neutral it will rev fine. When it is cold it drives okay, but the warmer it seems to get the more the problem seems to come out. When I push on the gas pedal it does not want to go, sometimes it will shut off while driving. I thought maybe it was the coil pack, but why would it not always do it? It is like when I push the gas it goes and then acts like it hits a wall, where it almost dies. If I keep a fuller tank it seems to help sometimes. It kicks a lean code, but is not running lean. I am so lost. Please help!

Hey PHIL,

Have you changed the fuel filter back by the tank? Here is a link on what you can expect.

We did change the fuel filter an it's still acting the same. I checked the fuel rail pressure an it starts at 40 psi an when it starts to act up it drops to almost 8 psi. Now I'm thinking fuel pump? But why at idle does it have 40 wouldn't it be low from the start an now change when you give it gas. But it only does it if the car is moving an in gear? If you are in park or neutral it will Rev fine I don't understand why it wouldn't do it then?

Yep, good call on the bad fuel pump is ti weak can cant keep up with the fuel demand, it needs to stay at pressure the entire time the time is running, here is one getting done in a mustang so you get the idea
