2000 Chrysler Cirrus distributor

Car will not start, took off cap and rotor button put new one on it still turns over but wont start up, I also noticed a little oil seepage on the bottom of the housing of the dist. What is causing my car not to start up.

You need to start by checking fuel pump pressure and if you are getting spark to the plugs. After that is done, you can focus on one system.

An easy way to check is to try starting the engine with starting fluid. If it starts for a few seconds, the problem is fuel related. If it doesn't, my guess is there is no spark.

Suspect the crank sensor. Check that to see if it is good. You will most likely have to take it to a parts store.
