2000 chevy S10 will not start if weather is cold and raining. Electrical system has been checked by mechanic and could not be reproduced in the shop. I checked the IAT and found a the resistance to be 4300 ohms when cold and 930 ohms when heated with a hair dryer. Reference voltage is +5 volts. This only occurs when the weather is cold and raining. What else should I check?

I want you to try something very simple. At night, in the dark, start the engine, open the hood, and mist water on the ignition system to see if there is anything is shorting (causing an arc).
