I have a 99 Nissan Frontier King Cab 2-wheel drive. It has the 2.4l engine. Can anyone tell me where the transmission dipstick tube is located? Or, does it not have one and I have to climb underneath and remove a plug in order to check the level?

I guess that would be an important fact wouldn't it???? It is an automatic.

My info say check oil with dip stick, so i can only imagine that it will be next to the bell housing bat the rear of the engine, we do not have this model in Aust so i haven't seen one in person.
