I have the truck listed above 1500 Sports model. I was going up a mountain when my O/D light came on and the transmission temperature light came on I was able to get it to a parking lot. When I started it back up a couple hours later I would put into gear it would pop in really fast and then shut off. I let it sit for two days and changed both sensors in it and now it will not start at all. Also checked all fluid and they are fine. Yes and no I have changed both sensors checked fluids and put it on my computer which read HCAT EVAP AIR EGR. Yes the mechanic that was working on my truck caught the top of motor on fire and to put it out with water hose and my fuel injector were out, but it did drive fine for about three day until I try to go up the mountain. Now I am having the problems and put that same mechanic also gutted my catalytic converter.

I am not sure it is all related to the shifting issue but the not starting could be related to the fire and hose incident. A few days after this happened would be enough time to have corrosion grow and cause an issue.

However, we need to find out if we have spark, fuel, and compression. We can assume compression is okay.

However, we need to start with fuel and spark to find out where to go.

Use some starter fluid in the intake and see if it starts. if not, we need to pull a plug and hold it against the block and crank the engine to find out if we have spark.

Let's start with this and see what we find. Thanks
