Just bought truck from my boss. There was a rattle and grinding sound come passenger side. My boss told me he peplaced both calipers last summer and he replaced stock bolts with oversized ones. He thought one must have come loose. He was right. The bottom one was gone, allowing the caliper to rub against inside of wheel.I replaced both bolts with oversized ones. They fell out. Went and got a kit to bore out holes, (rethreading at same time.) Inserted tanks, and installed new stock bolts. Everything was good for s few days. I forgot to put the rubber boots back on. Started rattling again I went and got new ones. Today I went to take bolts out and re_install everything properly. That's when I saw one of the tanks laying on driveway. That means that one of the bolts will come out again. At wits end. Short of replacing the knuckle what can I do to keep those bolts in place with no rattle?

Put a new hardware kit on calipers and use Loctite-blue type- see if that works.

It's the bushings and pieces that go into the caliper maybe a few springs. See pic if you go to rock auto. Com and enter your info in on the Carlson hardware kit there is a video if you care to watch it.
