Help!

My 1999 dodge dakota turns off by itself while in on the road. Mechanics have checked and removed "problem" parts but it still keeps doing the same thing what is wrong with my ca?

If the vehicle shuts off while driving and then restarts, have them check the MAP sensor. It is located on the throttle body assembly. You can do it yourself. What I have been finding is this. The sensor reads the manifold absolute pressure 12 times every msec. From that, the PCM determines fuel mixture needed, spark advance, engine load. If the sensor is bad, it will cause the engine to die. When watching the voltage readings from the MAP, it should change based on conditions. However, when they start going bad, they lose or send a high voltage reading to the PCM. Thus, the engine dies and then a few seconds later will start.
