The van is running off of the battery and the alternator tested positive- where do I turn?

How did it test fine if it's not working? Start by measuring the voltages on the larger output wire and the two smaller wires while the engine is running. Measure the battery voltage too with the engine off and with it running and holler back with those numbers.
