Hello, I fixed the low idle thing and big vibrations the problem was because some valves were pressed in deeper. Once starting I got ticking again :(, all lifters were rock hard put in better pushrods and rocker arm shaft from a junkyard explorer. Took for test drive after warm up it did have more power, no vibrations at low speeds like before. Ticking did get a little quieter than what it was before. I think my last solution is to put in some marvel mystery oil or I Read that people put in tranny fluid. Ty

The vehicle was making a ticking sound like the lifters make when oil gets low. Sound got louder and smoke was coming from engine and felt like it did not have normal power, Thought engine was going to blow. It stalled out at traffic light and would not start. Towed it home, checked for leaks (only those I knew about on back of valve cover ) oil on passenger side of oil pan near seal. Oil light never came on and dipstick still reads normal. After sitting for couple hours car starts and is quiet. I need to change valve gaskets and water pump gasket which leaks and hoses. I have the parts as I was getting ready to do these things I don't know if this will change anything. Anyone know what is going on.

It did not smell like oil smoke but there was oil on back of engine and bottom of passenger side of engine.
After cooling off for 2 hours it started again. There was no water in the oil. I have removed the valve covers and water pump because I was planning on that since they were already leaking some and causing it to overheat. Valves lookgood and not loose water pump corroded inside and fan clutch is ancient so I am replacing them. I was planning on resealing or replacing all this little stuff to get another year out of it. Some oil dampness in air filter area. PCV valve rattles seems good. Getting ready to put it all back together.
Any other suggestions? Thanks
