7.4 engine put in 51 pu runs fine for a few blocks then cuts down like 4 cylenders shut down then sometimes goes back to running smooth. Any ideas?

Scan for codes and check fuel pressure first.

Ok now check for vacuum leakstry tightening the intake manifold up especially if this has the 6mm bolts holding it. You can use choke cleaner to help to try find vacuum leak.
