Hello, well we had the head done com pleat at machine shop,then we done a ring+piston boring's,good everything on the out side, when I tested it in the shop for about 30 min running time it wouldn't stop smoking only when I rev it up heavy light blue smoke would come out knowing that oil smoke my question is tomorrow when I take it for a drive will it seat the rings for it to stop,and what tape of drive should I drive take for this to work if any''' how long at what speed. thank you sincerely. bruce.

I would say there is something else going on here Bruce. The smoke might be acceptable if there were just a little puff on initial start, but that much smoke seems to me to be another larger issue, like the machine shop made a mistake or ????
Newly rebuilt modern engines, correctly built, do not smoke.

thank you for your response, wow so I'm trying to figure out if the head is the problem or the ring job, is there any way to test that some how?
