Replaced the complete steering column because car could be started without a key. Did this after car was used and wouldnt start not a sound. Now the theft system light is on, and the car turns over but will not start and run. How can I re-program the new key with the computer module and get the theft system lock turned off? Please help. I am at my wits end!

Turn the key on and try to start it, then leave the key on while the security light flashes or stays on solid. Let it go until it goes out after 10 or so minutes. DO the same thing for another 10 minutes if the first round won't start it. May take up to 3 times. Nake sure you have a booster pack or a charger on the battery
