I was driving home last night and hit a 10 point buck, the truck lost all oil pressure and eventually died it didn't make any noise just shut down and when I tried to start the truck back up to get home it acted like a dead battery I even put cables on it and had the battery fully charged but as soon as I hit the key it pulls all juice until I let go of the key and still acts as though the battery is dead. Does the truck have a safety cut off until I replace oil and filter or is it something worse?

Have you determined why it lost oil pressure? Could the engine have locked up? If it has, the starter won't crank it.

Yes, the deer antler I am assuming busted a hole in the oil filter.

Was the engine knocking or ticking? Can you turn the crank pulley with a breaker bar / socket?
