1997 Dodge Ram fuel pump

I changed the fuel pump now the new one whistles and will stall like its not getting gas. When I turn it off and start it back up, itll drive until it do it again as I stop and take off. Do you know what might be causing this problem?

Are you sure it is the new fuel pump? Are you certain that all vacuum hoses and EVAP lines were replaced when you did the work? Has the check engine light come on since this started?
