I have a 1997 Chevrolet 1500 with an intermittant starting issue. Occasional it will just not fire up, the fuel pump charges, and motor turns over no problem. Then the next day it starts just fine and continues to work fine and then out of the blue won't start. Any ideas?

If it is a starter issue, that's where I would start. You have to test when the problem is ongoing. The purple wire at the starter solenoid S terminal, should be hot with key in the crank position, if not, backtrack the circuit.

Sorry about that, your starter works ok. Engine cranking, check for spark at the plugs, if spark everywhere, use a gage and check fuel pressure. Is there an injector pulse?
