Truck sat up for a couple of weeks. Battery was dead so I change the battery. Started truck, started fine. Turned it off and decided to start it again (with in seconds of turning it off). Would not start but would turn over fine. Checked all wires - OK. Thought about changing the distributor cap and rotor but decided to ask for advise first. Thanks.

You need to find out what is missing first before replacing things.
