Hello, I am replacing all system components, Compressor, Accumulator, Evaporator, Condenser and all lines. I am using a re manufactured compressor from O'reilly. The packaging states that it contains ice 32 lubricant, not to remove it and to add the manufacturer recommended type and quantity of oil. My research so far indicate that that would be 8 ounces of PAG. My question is how much should be added where? Should it be divided equally between all components or should the compressor get the most with a little added to the other components?

Thanks

Normally we dump it in the bottom of the compressor, not in the cylinders or ports, and some of it will circulate through the system on its own. You're supposed to add a little when a component is replaced, like a hose, to make up for what was in there, but that is such a tiny amount, and I worry about a glob of oil going around and getting into the compressor all at once where it can't be compressed.
