1997 GMC C1500 compressor will not come on.

Air Conditioning problem
1997 GMC C1500 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

The clutch on the compressor will not engage. I have checked the fuses @ the a/c relay. I have taken the dash control switch unit out. The a/c on button seems to engage ok but in the past I have had to push several times to start the a/c. What can I try next?

you must be a homesick Eskimo wanting your AC to work in the winter? I believe the only other problem is that you are low on 134A, check your AC pressure, or it could be a bad pressure switch located on the low side hoes.
