Trying to determine where the rear main seal is located on 96 dodge caravan. Whether its the driver or passenger side of the motor. I have a huge pouring oil leak coming from the passenger side of the motor.

The oil just drains from the passenger side of the motor. I put oil in it just to be able to get to work and get home. It blows out all under the car and blows smoke everywhere. Would like to try and pinpoint what it might be so I can see what it will cost me to fix it if its worth it.

The mains are at the end of the crank shaft. Check to make sure the pan isn't leaking, the valve covers aren't leaking, and the oil filter / drain plug isn't leaking.

Which side is the crankshaft on. That is what I am trying to find out to better help determine if it is the rms. If it is not then I can go back into the shop and have them look as I can't see where its leaking from. I am not that mechanically inclined to determine this. Thank you for your help.

The rear main is the end crankshaft seal behind the drive plate(transmission end) if it is leaking the box will have to be removed to replace it.
