Hey, so I just bought this vehicle from my friend, and it was running good. Sometimes it would run rough but cleaned up after driving for a minute, I used to have to pump the gas a couple times and it would start. Now it will crank and won't start. I tried fuel starter and it won't start with this, I checked spark and fuel pressure. Where else should I check?

Update: today I tried starting it, it cranks and sounds like it wants to start. I replaced the fuel pressure valve stem because I broke the last one due the valve stem need to be set at a certain depth? Or degree?

If it won't start for a couple of seconds using starting fluid, it sounds like there is a fuel-related issue.

As far as the Schrader valve, just turn it in until it stops and then gently snug it.

Do me a favor. I want you to recheck spark to the plugs. Follow the directions in this link and let me know what you find:

Additionally, if you could record it cranking and upload it for me to hear, it may be helpful.

I will watch for your reply.

Thank you, I'll look at it TN after work. But yeah, we tried spraying starter fluid into it and staying it, but it does nothing more than crank.

Hi,

Sounds good. If you are using starting fluid and there is no change, chances are you lost spark to the plugs. Let me know what you find.

Take care,

Joe
