I was less than a mile away from home and my car made an awful noise, so I pulled over and shut the car off, since then it will not start, we changed the timing chain and then later pulled the motor, after we pulled the motor we realized we hooked the timing chain back up to the wrong plug, my car will crank but thats it. Could it be out of time and preventing the car from cranking all the way over?

Did the original chain break? If so you will have a bent valve or worse, I need to know the exact extent of the original failure.
