Initially, I encountered brake light failure; replaced brake light switch, brake lights reappeared but the next day the brake lights were once again not burning. The tail lights, turn signals and flashers all function properly on the rear but no brake lights. Then eight days later, the brake lights started working again, but only for a couple hours; now back to no brake lights. I swapped out rear light bulbs, same result. If you successfully help me correct this problem, I will be more than happy to offer up a donation even though I have been out of work for five months now.

Have you rechecked the wiring at the switch? Also, if you manually actuate the brake light switch, do they come on?

Thank you for your suggestions, however I have discovered that the turn signal lever is in some way interfering with the brake lights. I further discovered that if my brake lights not are not burning, I get them to burn by flipping the turn signals back and forth, after which the brake lights are burning. So I have at least found the source of this issue and will work further on that.
