1995 Ford Escort front turn signal light

I have a 1995 Ford Escort Wagon. I need to replace the front drivers side turn signal light bulb and cannot figure out how to get to it. I have removed 2 screws on the front plastic yellow cover, but it appears that there is still some thing else holding it in place, since I can not remove the cover. Can you assist me in how to go about to replace this bulb?

I removed both retaining screws as mentioned. When I try to slide the lens assembly forward it won't slide. It appears that there is something on the bottom left that is restricting it from being able to slide.

Try the other side, see if same issue? It's hard for me to tell without being able to look at it.

Yes, same issue on the passengers side. I tried to slide the lens assembly all different ways and it won't open up enough for me to reach in to replace the bulb.
