My air conditioner stopped working. I ran a wire from the relay under the hood across to the battery and immidately the compressor kicks in and it blows ice cold air. I added Freon doing this but it still don't turn on the regular way.

There is another issue in the circuit somewhere. It could be a fuse or one of the switches. You need to diagnose this system correctly using a wiring diagram and immediately remove that jumper wire before something real bad happens.
