I am going to pick up a 1995 Chevy 2500 6.5TD, I had a 1995 6.5 1500, whats the difference between the two?

Are they the same motor? Suspension? What makes one badge as a 2500 and the other as a 1500, not new, only the 90's chevy

One is a half ton and the other is a 3/4 ton truck. The 2500 is a heavier duty vehicle.

Ha thank you, I know that much, but I mean besides just saying that, better suspension? Gearing? That kind of stuff? Are the motors in them the exact same 6.5L engine?

The 2500 will have a stiffer suspension and usually the gearing is lower to haul more weight.
