Truck does not do anything when the key is turned

The truck does not do anything when the key is turned, just the radio and lights turn on. I replaced the starter and battery which are new but still will not start. If anyone knows what can be the problem can you please help?

I would try to start the truck in neutral. Also, is the starter solenoid getting power when you crank it over? If it starts in neutral the gear range sensor is no good. Here is a guide to test the starter trigger wire and how to change out the switch in case this is the problem:

I have tried starting it on neutral but nothing happens no crank or clicking noise.

In the guide above it shows how to use a test light to see if the trigger wire on the starter is getting power when in the key is in crank position. Also, make sure the battery connections are clean and tight. This guide can help:
