I have a problem starting my car. I will turn the ignition over and my security light will flash on and off and there is no voltage going to my starter with the ignition on. All of my lights work and I checked all of the wires that include the battery, to the start, to the alternator connector, to the relay to the ignition switch and all the wires are connected. I have voltage on the terminal 4 of the ignition switch when I try to start the car, but no voltage to the connector of the starter. Please email me back with some suggestions so I can get my car started its driving me crazy! : (

If the security light is flashing, that is why it won't start. You need to have the system checked by a dealer so they can scan the computer and determine what has engaged the security system.

I brought it to the dealer and they said that they checked to ecu for updates and found nothing so I towed it back to my house because they wanted another $300 just to diagnose the problem. Can I bring it to a regular shop to get that done instead? I read another forum that said it could be the clutch switch and relay behind the drivers side wheel that can cause the problem. Sometimes the switch doesn't "click" on when you turn over the ignition and be faulty.

Chances are most small shops won't have the proper equipment to test the security system for your car. As far as the clutch switch, I don't think that would turn on the security light. The engine would not crank.
