How much votlage should I have at the fuel pump?

I replaced the fuel pump less than three months ago. The car just stopped running a couple days ago. It would restart after 10-20 min. This continued to the point it wont start at all. I have 5.29 volts to the pump, no fuel from the pump though. I took the new pump out, and it was replaced under warranty. I still am not getting fuel out of the pump. Is there something I am overlooking besides bad fuel pumps?

You should have approximately 12 volts (battery voltage) at the fuel pump. Check the voltage drop across the pump while running. Check the voltage supply by putting the multimeter between power supply wire and body ground. Also check voltage between earth side of the pump and body ground. Most of your tests should be carried out with the pump connected.

Check main engine relay is ok, there is no dedicated pump relay, so it will be with in the EFI engine control wiring if there is no pump voltage.
