Ground fault

When you turn the engine off, there is a whine under the rear seat that sounds like a window motor. I assume it is the fuel pump continuing to run, and that the circuit connected to it needs to be checked for ground faults.
P.S. It started after we lifted the car off the ground to replace the exhaust system.

have you tried another fuel pump relay? it's part of the relay unimodule. you could pick up a used 1 to save $.

It was not the relay, it was the positive wire from the relay grounding to the chassis somewhere in between, causing the pump to lose voltage and stop working. Ran a new wire, problem solved.
