I'm broke down with a Locked up ac compressor, pleeeeease tell me there is some way I can drive my car home about 28 miles to get it fixed,I can not afford a tow bill,I heard a panty hose might work to bypass the compressor or a strong rope,I just need a Jerry rig type of deal to run alternator and water pump I think,is there any thing I can do to get the car home!?

panty hose may work but toher than that you are pretty much stuck unless there is an auto parts nearby that you can buy a new belt

The new belt won't do you any good if the compressor clutch is still locked up. You need that pulley to roll freely.

I got a new pulley but I can't get the compressor out because I can't get my tire off haha because i have a stuck lug nut that's stripped, its has been a huge hassle, its broke down at my job,I put a new starter on there and found out it was a locked ac compressor now I can't get the compressor out BC I can't get my tire off, so I wanted to ask a pro if maybe a panty hose would hold up for bout a half hr drive BC 275 dollar tow bill is just not an option haha.

I think HMAC300 will agree, there is no way that could work. Even a new belt won't work if the compressor is still locked up but panty hose could never drive all those pulleys. Maybe back in the 60's when you only had to turn one "V groove" pulley, that may have worked but never on your car..

what I meant was if no auto parts around to try the panty hose but with a serpentine drive that won't work but if you are at work and auto parts is around then get a shorter belt if you can to by pass the a/c system. Otherwise you'll have to either tow it or fix it right like wrenchtech and myself both agree on
