I have a 1993 ford escort LX that just got a new starter. Drove it 19 miles then the starter messes up again. Also the engine cutout light is on and the car is idleing real low to the point it nearly dies. And starts smoking. Some idiot also tried putting a new radio in. He wired it wrong or the theft system fried the radio. Maybe an elecctrical problem messed the starter up? And if yes. How can I fix it?

Does the starter crank? You mentioned theft system. Does that mean it has some sort of alarm system? I don't see how installing a stereo could have fried the theft deterrent system, but it's a vague possibility. Check to see if there is a starter interrupt on the alarm system. If so, disable, bypass or remove. Try jumping the starter solenoid to see if the engine will crank. Next, hot wire the coil to see if that allows the engine to start.
