Check vacuum at idle form intake, if it's around 15' CHECK FOR A BAD CONVERTER. Also have your torque converter clutch checked by a trans guy, it may be not working correctly. Then check your fuel presuure, 41-47 psi is what it should be if port fuel and 9-11 if tbi
Did you say, "TURNED/ MOVED THE IDLE"?
If you monkeyed with the idle speed screw or any other mechanical adjustment, you may have COMPOUNDED your problem!
The computer is set to know where "Base Idle" is. This sort of calibrates everything to knowing where the engine's idle is (this is not the idle that you think of, when sitting still, its a Starting point for the computer) There are certain procedures to set Base Idle, so unless you can set it back exactly where it was. Things may not go well. It might involve a machine to calibrate it back!
