Glowing lights

1992 camry 2.2 dash lights and external lights "glow" or dim, but stay on? When I hit brakes in drive at a stop, most of the time the glowing stops. My retractable antenna may have stopped working at or around the same time the lighting problem started. I believe the "glowing" continues as long as I drive. The battery and alternator are o.K. Any information you can give would be greatly appreciated.

When you say glow, do you mean they stay on with the switch off?

Daytime running lights are designed to be on at 80 percent bright. What lights glow? A dash warning light?

I do not run lights during day time. Only at night. All lights glow, dash and external. No warning lights.

I would suggest checking all the ground circuit connections.

You should buy a manual at the parts store, in it will be wiring diagrams that show all ground points. If this is more like the lights brighten when gas is applied then the brushes in the alternator are gone, or the voltage regulator is going bad.

Here are the locations of all possible grounds. Though my thought is if it's flareing or flickering, it's as I stated above.
