My 1989 Corolla (has a carburetor, NOT EFI) has started diseling pretty bad. It is not all the time, but when it happens it happens for around ten seconds after turn the car off. I noticed that oil is leaking out of the distributor cap. I took off the cap and saw some oil collecting in the bottom of the cap. The rotor was dry, but it was all corroded for some reason. The cap and rotor are less than a year old. I also have some engine knock when I accelerate under load around 3000 rpm. My main concern is the diseling and the oil in the distributor. Any suggestions?

The distributor shaft seal is leaking letting oil into the distributor body, often running on is caused by over fast idle, incorrect ignition timing and carbon build up in the cylinders.
