I just went through a similar issue with discontinued parts. After an indepth search online, I was still unable to get them. The parts department (dealership) was able to locate dealer old stock from around the country. You may need to try that. One problem was the dealers with the old stock wanted an arm and a leg for the parts knowing they were the only ones with them. I resorted to a salvage yard. I went to a u-pull it parts yard. Ten dollars and I was fixed up.
I wish I had a better answer, but that is the bottom line. It is frustrating, but cars are lasting too long as far as the manufacturers are concerned. So what better way to get them off the road but eliminate parts.
