1978 Jeep CJ5 Ignition Problem

When I go to start my jeep there is no resistance when turning the key. I replaced the ingnition cylinder and know that my battery, coil, sylenoid, and starter is good. I do not know what else to check or what to do to get it to start when I turn the key. Anything you could give me would be greatly appreciated!

THINGS ARE SORTA SLOW HERE--I'D BE GLAD TO HELP YOU WITH ANYTHING YOU MAY WANT TO REPAIR---I HAVE OWNED 6 CJ 5s---STILL HAVE #6 AND ALSO HAVE A '46 WILLYS. NEVER HAD A CAR FOR A PRIMARY DRIVER. BEEN DRIVING SINCE '81. I LOVE 'EM!
