When it is cold engine runs rough and dies when I push in the clutch

The colder the weather gets, the worse my car drives. It lurches and chugs down the road until it warm up. ALSO it dies EVERY time I push in on the clutch to stop or slow down. New carburetor and choke seems to be working fine.

Have the distributor plate checked for wear. And make sure the points and timing are correct. Take choke tube off and feel for vacuum coming from choke and make sure the choke tube is connected to the exaust manifold where it draws the heat. If it 's a 6 cylindder check the pcv hose for being clogged. Andmake sure the choke is adjusted properly. Our site has been down for a week that's why the late answers
