My Mustang is running rough. When I first start the car it is running at 1000rpm for about 3 minutes then it starts to surge up and down and cuts off. It will only remain running if my foot is on the gas. If I give alot of gas it sputters and pops through the exhaust. New plugs are wet with gas and smells of raw gas. Changed fuel pressure regulator and vaccuum line. I don't hear any more noises that would indicate another line is off. No check engine light is on. Please help me!

It sounds like a bad throttle position sensor, but that should have set the check engine light. Did you actually check the fuel pressure? Also, as far as vacuum leaks, did you check the EGR valve to make sure it is working properly? FInally, it could be a bad temp sensor. It tells the computer the ambient temp and coolant temp. From that, the coumputer determines how rich to make the fuel mixture. If you are running that rich, that could be bad.

Let me know.
