First, I'd like to start by saying I know almost nothing about cars.

That being said, I'm having an issue with my Stratus.

If I drive it for like 15 minutes, the car will start to try and die out if I come to a complete stop. I have had it die out at stoplights, stop signs, and my driveway multiple times.

When it dies, it will not want to start up at all if I twist the key, but after maybe 5 minutes, it will start up again, but if I attempt to drive it after the initial breakdown, it will try to die at EVERY stop, instead what it normally does, and try to die at random stops.

One of my friends said it could be the cam censor <- Which I do not know what that is.

What you're describing is commonly caused by disconnecting the battery or letting it run dead. The Engine Computer loses its memory and has to relearn "minimum throttle" before it will know when it has to be in control of idle speed. Until then it will tend to stall at stop signs, it may not start unless you hold the gas pedal down 1/4", and it won't give you the nice idle flare-up to 1500 rpm when you start the engine.

To meet the conditions for the relearn to take place, drive at highway speed with the engine warmed up, then coast for at least seven seconds without touching the pedals.
