I made a mistake in the above post a can scanner is about $30.00 on Amazon btw. It seems like you are losing power somewhere not powering up one of the modules. Lets check the PIM1 and PIM2 fuses in the auxiliary fuse panel with the key on to check for power. Here are the hybrid wiring diagrams so you can see how the system works. I don't think you can jump assist without the tech2.

U0102 Lost Communication with Transfer Case Control Module
U0293 Lost Communication With Hybrid - Hybrid Powertrain Control Module (HPCM)
U1817 00; Definition: Lost Communication With Hybrid Powertrain Control Module on Bus "B"

We need to check power and ground to these modules. Here is the location. Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what you find.

Hi guys.

All the grounds are good on what I tested. At the end I was at the invert er plug in. And I have 12 volts at pin 6 and 7 and I have 12 volts with ignition on and in crank mode on the the pink and white wire. So it looks to me that the internal circuits of the assembly. Are not working. The invert er is not closing connectors for the 300 volts at the hybrid Battery to power up the generator motor to spin it over. And the invert er is not talking with the power train control mod. To tell it to start. I think. The scan tool I bought is a Innova 5410. The only reason is because it said it would do a full system scan. When I hook it up. It says it in interfacing with the high speed can. The it starts sending the codes I showed you. But no code for not being able to communicate with the can buss. So is that OK then?
I spent so much time reading tons of tests that I was to do at the Alldata site that I joined. I was so disappointed to find out that all those tests require a tech 2 scan tool. Dealer only. And I was joined into the DIY part of Alldata. I think that stops short of this involved diagnostics. Seemed like every time I would get to where I was going to figure out how to test. Pretty much anything. The info just stops. I think that is because of the do it your selfer version. I was even looking for the Alldata scan tool. But I couldn't find it anywhere.I still don't know anything thank you for helping. I am thinking that the newer components are not matched and able to work with to the old ones. What are you guys thinking?
Also, when the truck is brand new and being built. What is the first component of the Hybrid system that is programmed? I am wondering if everything has to be matched to the program the pin is programmed with or is there something else first? I know I talk too much but I have a lot of questions and really want to understand this a little better. Thank you.

Looks like is going to be a throw away truck. The dealer wont or can't work on it. Anyone I ask knows nothing about it. All of the manuals I bought. Dealer and the brands we all know, none of them can tell me anything more than take it to the dealer. Even you guys. Take a look at the back schematics you were having me study. The starter circuits. They are for a conventional truck. Everything is mixed together and confused. GM really messed up with these trucks.

Hmm, that doesn't seem right and the Hybrid info is not as complete as it needs to be. I will give you that but it does sounds like you are on the right trail with the programming. This can be a gap between the manufacturer and the dealerships. I would call GM support line and talk to them. 1 (866) 522-9559 please let us know what they say.

Thank you very much for the number.I was just about ready to give up on it. The GM support line sounds promising. I got to say. You guys and your site are by far, far, far the best. You have really stuck in there with me. Thank you.
