Hi,

I recently went on a 4x4 trip and pulled a few wires out from the rear end of the car.

this created a short and now the car will not start?

I have put a new battery in for immobilizer, checked fuses, disconnected battery and still no start? it swings 100%

Kind regards,
Roland

It could be many things. Check all the fuses in both fuse boxes, plus the fusible links up front.
You need a correct wiring diagram (I can only find a partial and it doesn't show the rear wiring with that engine.) Then look at which wires were pulled out and what they go to. My guess would be either the fuel pump power/grounds and related items. Depending on how long the short lasted it may have damaged other wires inside the vehicle or even the PCM.
Wiring shorts can do a lot of damage.
