My battery drained a few days ago and when I charged it up and tried to start my truck it wouldn't start. The lights come on but nothing else happens and there's an icon on the dashboard of a car with a lock on it that flashes, but it only stays on for a couple seconds.

Yes, the flashing security light is telling you the immobilizer is enabled. Use your remote and lock the vehicle, then let it sit for about 3 hours, and then unlock it using the remote. This should reset the security system and allow you to start the car. These guides can help as well:
